Make It Happen with Technology

In celebration of the International Women’s Day and our commitment to encourage the use of technology by women to empower themselves in their different roles,  we are proud to report on the Empowering Women With Technology event which was held on the 6th of March, 2015.

This event  was put together to kickstart a 12-month initiative; Empowering Women with Technology (EWT) driven by Wild Fusion Digital Centre (WDC) and Access Bank Plc.

The event brought together over thirty leading women with a desire to change the course of women and make it happen with technology. The event was chaired by Oby Ezekwesili (former Minister of Education and VP, World Bank Africa), Omobola Johnson, (Minister for Communication Technology) and Iquo Ukoh (Marketing Services Director of Nestle Nigeria, Plc).

Each speaker at the event emphasised the importance of technology and its role in the empowerment of women in Nigeria as well as the need for women to be ready to learn and maximise the tools that technology is making available in bridging the digital gender divide.

The event ended successfully with each woman in the room making a commitment to support the technological advancement of women in one way or another, particularly through the sponsorship of other women to take part in a special online marketing training discounted by WDC and Access Bank.
